In Defence of Scots

I am a Scot. I have lived in 4 counties in England. I believe in speaking my mind in defence of Scots. I have been to 17 countries (and during my travels become privy to information the average voter is unaware of). For this reason, before the election I must address not just my countrymen and women, but also those who want more for the UK than to be shackled like a slave to the EU.

TTIP began in Capitol Hill, January 2004. It was probably not called TTIP back then. That date in itself though should indicate the true purpose of others. It also testifies as to the true nature of some political heavyweights and their aims for the UK. Obamacare has been avoided, but it appears as if Virgincare may replace it. Who would gain from you having private healthcare? Would insurance prices rocket by 60% in one year, like they did in Texas? Perhaps now you are beginning to see why I oppose the EU and back room deals.

The SNP have stated publicly that they will endorse Labour in order to gain a better deal for Scotland. Why as a Scot would I oppose this? Firstly, Ukraine now enjoys Visa free access to the EU. I have not read anywhere of the SNP admitting or even acknowledging that simple fact. Secondly, the terror attacks across the EU have shown that open borders do not work.

Scotland if she is to defend herself as she has done historically against the Romans, Vikings and Nazis must acknowledge those of us who oppose the EU Army. Those of us who oppose human trafficking, child sex abuse and money laundering must see the elephant in the room and acknowledge it is encouraged by those nation states who have an almost zero tax rate. Criminals like low taxes too.

On 8th June I would ask all Scots (including those who drew fierce criticism for voting Leave and who are now disenfranchised from the Scottish government) to vote Conservative in defence of Scotland. Why? The EU is like the tale of The Emperor's New Clothes. It has decimated the economies of its core members through over-regulation that included the demise of the Scottish fishing fleets from Mallaig to Peterhead. In order to regain our fisheries we must endeavour to put those small communities first. We must insist those communities harmed by EU policies are given redress from Mallaig to Napoli.

I call upon my countrymen and women to consider the historical sacrifices millions have made in defence of Scotland and to assist our best chance of a decent future in supporting Ruth Davidson. Why? South Ayrshire council tax rises are as high as 22.5% in some bands. 3% of that goes to the local council while the rest goes to Edinburgh. Centralising public monies duplicates EU policy and it is difficult to see how anyone could argue otherwise. Consequently, the cost of living has gone up and in contrast to MSP expenses, the ordinary Scot is not afforded many luxuries. What is even more concerning is the impact of 10 years of SNP on the Scottish education system as Ruth Davidson has continually pointed out. If Scots will not value themselves, I trust they will value their children and their futures.

On 8th June 2017 Scotland has 2 choices. Vote for more potholes in the roads, the same abysmal education system and more taxes OR vote for change. I, for one, believe in the silent majority who voted LEAVE against a wave of media and politicians telling them how to vote and how truly splendid the EU is.  I would ask those same voters to acknowledge their own wants and needs and to truly put Scotland first by voting against a coalition that has no real interest in putting them first, despite obvious headline grabbing rhetoric. I would also ask in defence of Scots, why the SNP have not asked for reparations from the EU for the many industries and communities that have suffered as a result of questionable policies?
